If I Dont Meet You No More In This World, I'll Meet You In The Next One And Dont Be Late
so like the other day, i went out with my cousins and friends to see the movie Legion..well for all u would-be Legion watchers, i just want u to kno that Legion has gotta be the most boring movie ever..its got too much talkin and its got the same bullshit that has been in movies for ages; no matter how fucked up the world is or like whatever chaotic disaster the world faces, mankind will prevail in the end. The movie is about a fallen angel named Michael who disobeyed God's command because he feels the decision made was only what God wanted but not what He needed.. how ridiculous can that be? its like sayin God was never sure of what he wanted..the Jewish-dogma of Hollywood cannot be more obvious for the common eye to see.. anyway so like Michael was banished from Heaven and sent to Earth..on Earth, God had send His army of angels to kill Michael. Whatever happened afterwards is irrelevant cause i slept through most of the movie..verdict? DONT watch it..worst movie ever
that aside, i better start studyin..enough ranting and more end-product! May The Force Be With You

PERSONAL RESPONSE ESSAY
After reading the article entitled ‘Just Be Who You Are’, it is in my honest opinion to say that I think what is mentioned in the article can never be further from the truth. From trying hard to fit with those around you to being unable to feel secure of everything about yourself, the article is very accurate in discussing the problems most teenagers nowadays faces in their respective communities. Most of the problems that were mentioned in the article have solutions to them however it must all come down to the individuals themselves.
According to the article, one of the main problems most teenagers face is conformity. Erasing every concept of individualism in favor of being able to be accepted by a certain group, conformity happens almost everywhere in the world; “In the West, there are many different groups, like cheerleaders, skateboarders, jocks, the Goths and the nerds.” Even though Muzafer Sherif, a very well respected psychologist, finds conformity to be normal by stating that “…people would always tend to conform.”, it is not. As proven time and time again, letting other people influence your every decision is really unhealthy because a teen’s desire to fit in usually contributes to stress and social pressure;
“All this adds to the stress of trying to discover themselves”.
Teenagers need to start being aware that there is nothing wrong with being themselves and there is nothing rewarding about being exactly like everyone else. Everyone should have their own identities and uniqueness.
Another problem teenagers face is their lack of confidence with the way they are. However common it is, feeling insecure of the way you look is another problem teenagers best need not having. It is alright to be humble however it is not good to ‘sell yourself short’ all the time. As mentioned in the article, “…most teens are unsure about their strengths and weaknesses.” This leads to them sometimes making the wrong decisions which could “possibly influence their lives forever”. Teenagers who are insecure of themselves are usually on the verge of a breakdown due to constant pressure from others around them. The need to be perfect like the people with “the nicest complexions, the bodies that are shaped like the models, the popular people” comes in the form of desperation to be accepted by others. It is often said that it is better to be a diamond with a flaw than a pebble without one. The reason for this is that it is our flaws that make us special and different from the others. It is our flaws that distinguish us from one another. How special are we if we all look exactly like each other? We all must “acknowledge that everyone is equal” but what makes us different from each other is what we must hold on to most instead of trying to get rid of it.
Last but not least, another problem the article specified that teenagers have is their inability to voice out their opinions. This is a very serious matter as it truly removes a big chunk of a teen’s human rights. Meg Cabot’s detailed description on the decision-makers can never be any truer;
“Learn to fend for yourselves or you might just be demoted in the hierarchy of life. Do not live your life based on other people’s whims.”
I believe in the freedom of speech and freedom of action. Despite the government not giving Malaysians any of those privileges, I still think every human should be entitled to have their own opinions and should be allowed to voice them out in order to be able to live the life they want without having the influence of others. The fact that “that for too long, a small group of people have been making decisions for the majority” is quite ridiculous because how could they honestly know what the majority are thinking if their group itself consists of a small number of people? Hence, they “are completely unqualified for the job”. And as Robbin Williams said in the 1989 movie Dead Poet’s Society, “Carpe Diem boys, seize the day”. This leads us the question what is the point of life if you’re not able to live it just the way you want it? Teenagers should not let other people tell them on how to live their lives and this is why it is important that teenagers need be brave to voice our their opinions.
As a conclusion, the article has indeed proved to be really accurate in describing the problems teenagers face while also emphasizing the importance of being who you are instead of someone you are not. Conformity and feeling insecure of their looks are just some of the problems that are mentioned in the article that teenagers have to subsequently face. Given the evidence in the text and from outside sources, I truly agree with what the message the article is trying to deliver; just be who you are.
